COVID-19 Coronavirus Update
Our office will continuously evaluate the COVID-19 situation as it develops during this unprecedented pandemic.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
We are continuing to see patients in the office. Patient screening is taking place prior to the office visit. Patients that have returned from travel outside the state or from a cruise in the last 14 days, or who have had recent exposure to a person who tested positive for COVID-19 or who have had any fever, cough or shortness of breath in the last three days, are being rescheduled.
The waiting room has been set up with reduced numbers of chairs, spread widely apart, to lessen in-office congestion. Patients are being contacted prior to their appointment to obtain their medical history over the phone, so as to reduce their time spent in the office. We have added a self check in function for patients to check in via smart phone to limit exposure in the office. Additionally, we now offer Telehealth to better serve our patients during the COVID-19 outbreak.
We are requiring that only patients come into the office. Unnecessary companions will be asked to wait outside the office in their vehicle.
We are routinely and repeatedly disinfecting common areas throughout the day. All examination rooms and patient areas are disinfected after every patient encounter. All staff are wearing masks and are screened twice a day which includes temperature. They are diligent in hand washing after every patient contact and minimizing physical contact. They are all practicing “safe distancing” from patients, whenever practical. We are working diligently to provide a safe environment for everyone.
